Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). As a young girl, she moved from London to Oxfordshire to attend the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she decided she wanted to be an actor. She was trained for many years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting and singing. From the age of 10, she took part and played the leading role in several Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting agent by her Oxford drama teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times, she as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's cinematic screen debut. The film is 2001's top earning film, smashing records at the opening and first weekend. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, and especially the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's performances "amazing". Emma's performance received nominations and later won awards for the movie.
